Commission for ALT Summit

I was asked to take progression shots so I did my best to take more pictures.  Don't mind the tree shadows on the first drawing.  There's only so much I can do with that.  This is a commision I did in salt lake for ALT summit.  Best job ever!  I got to go draw on the sidewalk of downtown SLC and get paid for it.  I choose to recreate Andy Warhol's Marilyn Monroe series since he is from the pop art era and I thought it would be fun and appropriate for street art.  The hardest part was making each Marilyn the same.  I realized after that they are all a little different, but decided I was ok with that.  I saw these pictures all over instagram after the event.  It was great to see that people liked them.

In order of how they were drawn.  I think my favorite is number 2.

Gateway Chalk Art 2014

I've been volunteering for the gateway chalk art festival for 9 years this year.  I remember being a little girl walking through the adult section and thinking they were the "professionals" and being so amazed at their talent.  The gateway chalk art festival has been a summer tradition and something I look forward to for years.  I am humbled at receiving the 1st place Best of Show award this year.
