A semester of Printmaking

Summer 2013 Chalk Art Festival

I realized I never posted pictures of my summer chalk art this year.  This is a replica of Alphonse's Riviera.  My partner Paige Gardner and I did the for the gateway chalk art festival for fostercare.  Dimensions are 6 x 6 feet.

Back into Printmaking

It's a really rough image taken with my phone, but you get the idea.  I started up printmaking and this is the result of my first layer.  I got the inspiration from summer references I had of The board walk at Santa Cruz and a hot air balloon festival I went to.  I have a lot to learn, but it is fun to be carving again.  I'm going to try harder to post progress shots of my work since the process is very intriguing to me.

California Road trip Photography

7 day road trip to visit my sister in Monterey California.  The scenery was absolutely beautiful and I felt artistically inspired the whole time I was there.

Inspired by Hawaii

I spent four months in Laie Hawaii, a lifelong dream of mine.  I went there to study art, but continue to work from the photographs I took when I was there.

My travels

I have a passion for traveling and recently returned from a 6 day road trip passing through Utah, Nevada, California and Arizona.  Before that I spent four months in Hawaii.  I decided I want to start keeping a travel sketchbook of everywhere I go.  Some will be quick and sketchy, others will be fully developed pieces   Hope you enjoy.    Seeing the world inspires me.  

Monument Valley

We passed Monument Valley just as the sun was setting- the lighting was just perfect.  This is the impression still left in my memory a few days after the trip.
